How This Website Handles Your Information
Not Yet Reviewed — Do Not Publish
This page is a structural shell. The text below describes how the website actually handles information, which is accurate, but it is not a legal document and has not been reviewed by anyone qualified to write one.
This is sample text for layout review only and has no legal effect. Real terms will be drafted and reviewed before this page is published.
What we collect
This website has four forms. Each one collects only the fields shown on it, and the database rejects anything else outright.
- Contact enquiry — name, email, optional phone, optional property address, and your message.
- Maintenance request — property address, your name, email, phone, what is wrong, how urgent it is, and when you are available.
- Property enquiry (owners) — your name, email, phone, and details of the property.
- Rental application — contact details, current address, employment and income, rental history, references, number of occupants, and any documents you attach.
What we deliberately do not collect
The rental application does not ask for a Social Insurance Number or a date of birth, and the database is configured to reject both. A SIN is not required to run a credit check, and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada’s guidance is that private-sector organisations should not collect it except where legislation requires.
We ask how many people will occupy a unit, not their names or their relationship to you.
Why we collect it
To answer your enquiry, arrange a repair, assess a rental application, or quote for managing a property. We do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
Where it is stored
Submissions are stored in Google Firebase. Only North PMG staff can read them — submissions are write-only for the public, so nobody can read back what anyone else has sent. Uploaded documents are readable only by staff and are never publicly addressable.
Your information is stored in Canada. The database is hosted in Google Cloud’s northamerica-northeast2 region, in Toronto, and was placed there deliberately so that income, employment and reference details supplied by Canadian tenants do not leave the country.
How long we keep it
Rental applications are kept for six months after a decision and then deleted. Maintenance requests are kept for two years.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use Google Analytics, and it loads no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking scripts of any kind.
